WESTON CUP & SHOWCASE Florida’s premier Presidents’ Day Weekend tournament for boys and girls teams. In 2011, the Weston Cup had 454 teams from throughout Florida, multiple states, and international teams from Ireland and the Dominican Republic that competed at four facilities which included over 30 playing fields. Teams from outside Florida, including international teams participate each year. The tournament will offer four levels of competition: Showcase, Gold, Silver, and Bronze for U9 through U19 boys and girls teams, plus a special U8 division (U9 Future Stars). For 2012 we are expecting over 450 teams from out-of-state, across Florida, and internationally. Presidents’ Day Weekend festivities, including rides and games, will be held at nearby park facilities, making the overall weekend a festive event for all players, parents, family members and coaches.

We break up our divisions according to age. We have 3 divisions; 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Both novice and advanced players are encouraged to participate. We offer two locations to play(depending on availability). Players can register at the Youth Enrichment Center in East Miramar or Sunset Lakes Community Center in West Miramar. The cost of the program is $45 for residents and $54 for non-residents (includes uniform). Games are played inside the gym using an Indoor Soccer ball with less bounce. Referees will use adjusted rules for each age group. We conduct a draft prior to the start of the season in order to balance the teams as best as possible. All the coaches are volunteers who decide their own practice times. Volunteer coaches are always needed; please sign up on the registration form. Each team will play a minimum of 8 games; the top 4 teams in each division will advance to the playoffs and compete for the championship. At the end of the season, each player will receive an award for their participation. We conclude the program with an East vs. West All-Star game and coach’s game.
